Parts and supplies
Confirm the replacement part and the source's complete supply list for your exact model and Wi-Fi or cellular variant before starting.
Display adhesive is normally replaced after opening. Follow the source's requirements for screws, tape, foam and calibration.
Before you begin
Confirm the model in Settings → General → About and match the screen size and Wi-Fi or cellular version. A similar-looking iPad can have different cables, screws and replacement parts.
Identify your iPad with AppleBattery and glass precautions
Back up your data and disconnect all accessories. Follow the selected source's discharge and power-isolation instructions before opening. A swollen, dented, punctured or unusually hot battery needs specialist handling; do not heat, bend or pry it. Protect your eyes from broken glass. Power down before adjusting an internal connection.
Repair sequence
The selected procedure below contains the detailed illustrated steps, including removal, reassembly notes and model-variant differences. Choose the matching Wi-Fi/cellular version and component before starting.

UWS organizes these repair steps and checks with credited third-party repair resources. Source demonstrations are not a UWS technician sign-off. Follow the full source procedure for the exact variant. No repair restores a guaranteed factory seal, and replacement-part functions depend on the part and any required calibration.
