Data Recovery
We attempt to recover photos, contacts, documents and other data from devices with software or hardware issues. Recovery is not guaranteed and depends on the type and extent of damage.
Data Recovery in Tustin & Orange County
Losing irreplaceable photos, contacts and documents is stressful, and how you respond in the first hours matters. We attempt to recover data from devices that will not turn on, are stuck in boot loops, have failing storage, or have suffered physical or liquid damage. Depending on the situation this can mean repairing enough of the device to boot it, addressing a software fault, or working at the storage level.
It is important to be honest about outcomes: data recovery is never guaranteed. Success depends on the type and extent of the damage, whether the storage chips themselves are intact, and whether earlier attempts or continued use have overwritten data. We always evaluate the device first and explain the realistic likelihood before you decide how to proceed.

Warning signs to watch for
Common causes
- Failed or corrupted software or operating-system update
- Physical damage that prevents the device from booting
- Liquid damage affecting the board or storage
- Failing storage (NAND flash, SSD or hard drive)
- Accidental deletion, formatting or factory reset
Our diagnostic process
We evaluate whether the storage itself is intact and whether the device can be brought to a state where data is accessible.
We identify the failure type — software, hardware or physical — and explain the realistic likelihood of recovery and the approach before proceeding.
Devices this applies to
Data recovery attempts apply to phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Modern phones with encrypted, soldered storage are especially challenging and outcomes vary widely by device and damage.

We assess the device and failure type and give you an honest read on the chance of recovery.

Where needed, we repair enough of the device or address the software fault to reach the data safely.
- 3
Recovery attempt
We attempt to extract photos, contacts, documents and other files using appropriate methods for the failure type.
- 4

Recovered data is checked and, where possible, transferred to a destination you provide.
- 5
Handoff & guidance
We return your device and recommend a backup routine to protect your data going forward.

Limitations & what to know
- Recovery is not guaranteed. If storage chips are physically destroyed or data has been overwritten, some or all data may be unrecoverable.
- Continuing to use, charge or power-cycle a failing device can reduce the chance of recovery — power it off and bring it in as soon as possible.
We use high-quality replacement parts appropriate for the device and repair. Warranty coverage and duration depend on the specific repair and replacement part used — ask us to confirm the applicable coverage in writing before work begins.
