Drone Repair
in Orange County
Ultimate Wireless Solutions provides diagnostics and repair for many common drone problems, including damaged arms, camera and gimbal issues, charging failures, battery problems, broken landing gear and drones that will not power on or fly correctly.
Repair availability depends on the drone brand, model, damage, parts availability and whether calibration or manufacturer-specific service is required.
Drone Brands We May Service
We accept drones from several popular consumer and prosumer brands. Repair options vary by exact model, generation, parts availability, software restrictions and the extent of the damage.
Popular DJI families include the DJI Mini series, DJI Air series, DJI Mavic series, DJI Avata series, DJI Phantom series, and DJI Inspire series. Not every model or generation is supported — contact us with your exact model.
Common Drone Repair Services
From broken arms and motor replacement to camera, gimbal, and battery diagnostics.
Cracked or snapped arms are among the most common crash injuries. Depending on the model, individual arms or frame sections may be replaceable without full disassembly.
A motor that does not spin, spins unevenly, or produces a grinding noise may need to be replaced. We inspect motor mounts and wiring at the same time.
Bent or shattered props and damaged quick-release mounts can cause vibration or affect flight stability. Replacement parts are available for many popular models.
A cracked lens, damaged sensor housing, or camera that fails to initialize may be repaired depending on the model and parts availability.
Gimbal motors, ribbon cables, and mounting hardware can all be affected by a crash. We inspect gimbal alignment, motor response, and cable integrity.
Folding and fixed landing-gear components can crack or lose structural integrity. Replacement may restore safe landing stability for the drone.
We test battery health, charging behavior, and contact integrity. Swollen or non-charging batteries are documented and discussed before any further steps.
Bent pins, broken port housings, or loose connections on a drone body or controller may be repairable depending on the board layout.
A stuck, unresponsive, or broken power button may be replaceable on models where the button is a discrete component and not part of the main board.
Poor GPS lock, compass errors, or repeated signal warnings may point to antenna positioning, damaged GPS modules, or compass calibration issues.
We check controller buttons, sticks, charging, pairing status, and screen function on supported controller models.
We inspect for moisture, corrosion, and short-circuit damage. Water-damage recovery cannot be guaranteed, but inspection helps determine whether further repair is feasible.
A drone that does not respond to the power button may have a dead battery, charging fault, main-board issue, or firmware problem. Diagnostics can identify the likely cause.
A full inspection after a crash can identify damage to components that may not be visibly broken but that can affect flight safety or performance.
Signs Your Drone May Need Repair
If you notice any of the following, bring your drone in for a diagnostic inspection.
Some issues may be resolved through firmware updates, compass or gimbal calibration, controller re-pairing, or manufacturer service. In some cases, a replacement drone may be more economical than repair, particularly after severe crash or water damage.
How Drone Diagnostics Work
We ask for the brand, model name, serial number or model number, and a description of the problem before beginning any work.
We check the frame, motors, propeller mounts, camera, gimbal, charging ports, battery contacts, and visible electronics for signs of damage or corrosion.
We determine whether replacement parts are available, whether calibration or software steps are required, and whether repair or manufacturer service is the appropriate path.
We perform power, controller connection, camera, and motor checks after completing the repair. Outdoor flight testing is performed when it is safe and practical to do so, but cannot be guaranteed for every repair.
Drone Crash Damage Repair
Crash damage may affect more than the visibly broken part. A damaged arm can also affect wiring, motors, sensors, antennas, the gimbal or the main board. A full inspection may be required before final pricing is available.
Severe frame damage, main-board failure, or extensive water infiltration can make repair uneconomical. When that is the case, we will explain the situation clearly so you can make an informed decision about repair, parts salvage, or replacement.
Drone Camera and Gimbal Repair
Camera and gimbal problems are common after crashes and can develop over time from vibration or wear. Issues we inspect include:
- Shaking or unstable video footage
- Crooked or tilted horizon in footage
- Gimbal overload warnings
- Camera not detected by the drone
- Broken ribbon cables between camera and board
- Damaged camera housing or lens
- Gimbal motor problems or failure to initialize
Calibration may be required after gimbal or camera repair. Calibration procedures are not available for every model and may require manufacturer tools or software.

Drone Battery and Charging Problems
Battery and charging issues are among the most common drone service requests. We diagnose:
- Battery that will not charge or is not recognized
- Battery that drains unusually fast
- Swollen or deformed battery
- Charger or charging-hub problems
- Damaged USB-C or proprietary charging port on the drone or controller
- Dirty or corroded battery contacts
Do not use, charge, or transport a swollen, punctured, leaking, or unusually hot lithium battery. Keep it away from heat and combustible materials. Bring the battery in for inspection before attempting to charge or fly again.

Pricing depends on the exact drone model, damaged parts, calibration requirements, and parts availability. Crash damage may involve several components, so final pricing may require inspection after we have assessed the full extent of the damage.
